Notting Hill Maisonette
A split level maisonette which needed to stand up to the wear and tear of life with a young family, whilst providing a little bit of luxury for the grownups.
The large sitting room needed to accommodate a flexible area for working from home, space for playing games, entertaining, and an area for watching TV. We created two distinct zones within the room using back-to-back sofas and contrasting rugs; one area saw the sofa and armchairs focussed around the bookcase which housed (and hid) the television, while the other end of the room was designed for intimate relaxed entertaining, focused around the fireplace.
We created a playroom off the entrance hall by adding a slatted wall to separate the space whilst maintaining a feeling of openness, and upstairs we turned what was a guest room into a cosy boy’s bedroom, complete with a bed curtain and built in bookcase. A nursery was created for their newborn baby, we designed a calm guest room to the rear, and injected colour and pattern into the master bedroom.
